I love taking pictures of these kids! This family wanted some updated photos of her three kids, so we did a mini session of just the three of them together. The last time I took their pictures was in the middle of summer and it was sweltering hot, but these kids are such good sports and do well weather we melting or freezing! It was a chilly day in January and we almost postponed the shoot because the sky was so dark and covered in clouds, the sun was nowhere in sight. Somehow, the clouds broke for just a short period of time and the most amazing light shined in through the clouds. I have been loving the light at Chico State the past few months, but the light on this day was extra beautiful! We started our session with a little game, having the kids run underneath a giant antique quilt. I had been wanting to try this shot for a while, and I was so excited that it came out exactly the way I was hoping! We also got some posed shots of the kids smiling and looking at the camera, but the fun, natural shots are always my favorite! Here are a few of my favorites from their session:
