Four Zs {Chico Newborn Photography}

Before 2018 came to a close, the Skinners welcomed a newborn baby girl, Zoele Mickey to their family.  Zoele was named after EMS Assistant Chief Mickey Huber, an emergency responder who helped her mom, Anastasia, evacuate the Camp Fire when she went into labor prematurely a month before Zoele was due to arrive.  With his help, Zoele and her mama got out safely and her labor stopped, giving this pretty little lady a little more time before she arrived.  Her three siblings, Zeth, Zayde and Zion were so amazing with her during their session.  With three big siblings, I was expecting this shoot to be challenging, but they were so sweet and fun to photograph.  Since their house burned down, they are currently living in Nevada, but came all the way to Chico for their pictures.  It’s the first time I have had clients come from a different state for newborn pictures!  Zayde told me that her house burned down the moment I met her and we bonded over this, since my house burned down when I was her age too.  We were instant friends and she helped me get her little sister to sleep.  It was an honor to help this sweet family document some new memories.  Here are a few of my favorite images from their newborn session:
