8 Weeks Old {Chico newborn photographer}

Even if you miss the short window for newborn photography, that doesn’t mean it’s too late for beautiful baby pictures!  This sweet girl was 8 weeks old and was just a doll!  Seriously, I sometimes borrow my daughter’s baby dolls to check my light and after the first shot in this session, I had to take a double look at my viewfinder, because it looked exactly like what I see when I am practicing with baby dolls!  Unlike my daughter’s baby dolls, JoJo was full of sweet expressions and lots of personality.  This little kissy face she made for the camera cracks me up every time I look at it!  I love the soft pinks in her gallery and I also did some backlit images to show off her little details.  I love a little dramatic light in newborn photography.  When the highlights and shadows are all in the right places, you can count every eye lash and tiny detail that won’t stay tiny for long.  Here are a few of my favorite images from JoJo’s newborn session:
