This was the first time it has ever rained on a photo shoot for me! I felt really bad, because there was no rain on the forecast and when we started feeling drops, I’ll be honest, I did not know what to do! There was this beautiful couple, all ready for their pictures, and the weather did not seem to be on board with our plan. I was really impressed with them, though, because they took it completely in stride. We waited it out in their car for less than five minutes, and the skies cleared up! Relief! I know how much energy it takes to get all dressed up when you are pregnant and I did not want Keri to have to do it all over again! Somehow, her hair remained completely in tact and Joe had a spare shirt (which will be a great habit to keep up once little Camryn arrives!). I was really impressed by how well they took the unexpected, and I know that will also come in handy once they become parents. Their pictures came out perfect, you would never know that we almost got rained out in the first few minutes! I love these images because they really represent the beauty of parenthood to me. It looks beautiful and easy, but there is so much that goes on behind the scenes that you would never expect and you just have to be flexible and willing to adapt when things don’t go as planned. I think Keri and Joe are ready for this adventure! I cannot wait to meet Camryn at her newborn session 🙂 Here are a few of my favorites images from their session:
