Happy late birthday to my beautiful little cousin, Elaina! Her cake smash photo session with her mom and dad was as colorful as this little lady! Elaina hasn’t always been my biggest fan (see here), but in her defense, I did make her sleep outside naked in a makeshift nest the first time I met her (see here). She has finally forgiven me for all the pictures I have taken of her this year and I count myself very lucky that she will actually go to me on her own free will! This little one is a strong, independent lady, and comes from a long line of them. I found a quote that I think sums up this girl very well (incidentally this quote is by Alexandre Dumas, the author of The Three Musketeers, a movie her mother and I used to watch incessantly). “It is rare that one can see in a little boy the promise of a man, but one can almost always see in a little girl the threat of a woman.” I love you, little girl!
