Family Reunion {Chico family photography}

Last month, Donna contacted me for a family photo session, because all her kids were coming home before her son, JT left for deployment to the Middle East.  This was a large group, with 17 people and 5 of them under the age of 7 but it was one of the easiest photo sessions I have done!  Even though I only spent a short time with them, I feel like everyone’s personalities really shine through in these pictures.  I have been excited to finish editing these and share them all week, because I am in love with so many of these shots.  My heart melts at the picture of JT and his little boy James, especially knowing that he and his wife, Sehyun are making such a sacrifice for our country in being apart.  Being married to a fireman, I know it is difficult when dad goes away for two days and couldn’t imagine how hard it would be to be apart for months.  I had so much fun with little Evelyn and her mom and dad.  She was hilarious about her mom and dad kissing in their picture.  Landom and Liam were both darling and so cute in my old Radio Flyer wagon!  I love the shot of them together and I also love the outtake just as much (see below!).  Harper was a pro at getting her picture taken, since she just had her own cake smash session recently.  She is adorable and I had fun capturing her taking some steps to her parents.  I’m so happy they were all able to get together and that they allowed me to document it.  Here are a few of my favorites from their session:
