I spend a lot of time as a family photographer trying to avoid forced smiles, but I think I met a forced smile that I like just as much as a regular one! Daniel showed up for his pictures ready with his biggest, most forced smile, and it was adorable. His forced smile turned into some genuine ones because it got a lot of laughs from the rest of us. We met in a little meadow that I love in Lower Bidwell Park. They wore blues and salmon and it looked so amazing in the green grass. I was a little worried that the clouds would open up and it would start raining on us, but we stayed dry and we even got a few shots with the light coming through the clouds. Michael was the perfect helper and big brother. He is getting ready to start kindergarten next year and was very proud of his role as a big brother and a big kid about to start school. Not only was he comfortable in front of the camera and ready for a smile on command, he was also a sweetheart and picked a flower to give to his mom. It was so fun hanging out with these guys and capturing them being themselves. Here are a few of my favorites from their session:
