The evening sun was finally back for this maternity session last Saturday! With all the fires on the west coast right now, it’s hard to tell what evenings will be clear, but the sun was shining bright on this beautiful expecting couple. I absolutely love the colors in these pictures. The greens, yellows and oranges in they sky complimented the blues and pinks in this mama’s maternity outfit so perfectly. I was super impressed by the high heels she was wearing while pregnant and I loved her floral shawl. Accessories like shawls, hats, or statement jewelry make such a difference in maternity pictures and I love when clients show up with a cute accent piece. I also love that she was wearing florals because we are already planning her baby girl’s newborn shoot and now I know to pull out floral outfits and props for their baby pictures. Originally we were going to include their little dog who was dyed pink for their gender reveal but he recently got an unfortunate haircut, so he couldn’t make the photo session. Maybe next time! This baby will be the second baby that I will photograph in this family. Last year, I got to meet her darling nephew, Sebastian when I took his newborn photos (you might remember his cute little cheeks from my blog!). I am excited to meet his cousin in a few months.
