Little Racer {Chico Newborn Photography}

I have been so excited to share these newborn baby pictures!   We did their session a few weeks ago, but one of the pictures was a surprise to grandpa, so I waited to blog about Emmi’s newborn session.  This little lady is a friend of my family a few different ways.  Her grandparents on one side are friends of my family and her grandparents on the other side are my next door neighbors.  Her auntie babysits our kids and told us a few weeks before she was born that she was sure the baby was going to be a girl.  Well, she was correct, little Emmi is a perfect baby girl.  Before her session, I saw pictures of Emmi on her grandma’s Facebook page and she was already holding her head up at just a few days old, so I knew I would be working hard to get this little one to take a nap.  She didn’t go to sleep right away but when she did, we got some amazing pictures of her and her little family.  We put her in her grandpa’s old racing helmet as a surprise to him and she fit perfectly inside it.  Like so many, her dad has been working tirelessly to help rebuild our neighboring town of Paradise.  He is working a shift of 18 days on and 2 days off which can’t be easy with a little one, but we are lucky to have such hardworking people in our community and little Emmi is lucky to have such wonderful parents.  Here are a few of my favorite images from her newborn session:
