Meeting newborn babies after doing their mama’s maternity session is so much fun because I feel like I get to see the whole story. I get to see parents excited to meet their new baby and then I get to see their joy once that baby arrives. It also gives us more time to talk and plan the newborn session. When I learned that both of this guy’s parents work as chefs, I knew we had to incorporate that into their session. Side note, his mom is very talented and I got to try her Neopolitans recently which were excellent. If you haven’t had a chance to check out LittleChef in Chico, you definitely need to! As soon as I met this couple I was on the search for the perfect newborn chef hat and his dad brought an antique bowl that has been in their family for years. Declan fit in the bowl perfectly and looked so darling with flour on his little cheeks. It was so fun, and he even gave me a few smiles!
