Happy one month anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Hansen! It was an honor and joy to document such a lovely day with this couple, who are beautiful inside and out. Brynn and Ryan chose a beautiful setting for the beginning of their adventure together. They got married at Gale Vineyards in Durham, California. The weather was perfect (thankfully, because the weddings I have done this year have been either rainy or sweltering hot), so taking pictures on this nice cool day was a dream. Brynn contacted me a year ago and said she wanted me to document her day but that she wanted to keep it a simple affair. She said that she specifically did not want me to stick her ring in a flower and take pictures of it. LOL. Who, me? Although I do take fine art pictures involving wedding day objects, it is not my favorite part of taking wedding pictures. Brynn and Ryan wanted pictures of all the people who came to celebrate with them on their special day. Pictures of people are my favorite too, so I knew that my style and their vision would be a good match. Brynn was gorgeous in a simple but elegant short dress and a bouquet of red roses that her aunt made, which contrasted with her white dress in a gorgeous way. Her sister was her maid of honor and wore a red dress and carried white roses. The venue was decorated with red and white roses, table cards with the names of all their favorite watering holes in Chico, and Hansen sodas. It was both elegant and fun, just like Brynn and Ryan. I got to steal them away for ten minutes for some beautiful sunset pictures in the vineyard, where the light and location were amazing. The night ended with much dancing and celebrating. It was so fun taking pictures of their friends and family, which were both silly and sweet and made for the perfect ending to a beautiful day. Here are a few of my favorites:
