Oh Boy! {Chico newborn and maternity photography}

There have been lot’s of baby girls born in Chico lately, and it’s been a while since I have had a newborn baby boy in my photography studio.   Don’t get me wrong, I’m obsessed with headbands and girly props, but I was pretty excited to get out my cute boy props for this one.  Little Josiah is just darling and it melted my heart how in awe his mama was that this sweet little bundle belongs to her! They were on the fence between doing a mini session with just Josiah or doing family shots and I’m so glad they decided to do family shots too because they are such a beautiful family and I loved getting images of them all together.  I met this family a few months ago during their almond blossom maternity shoot and didn’t realize that they are from Virginia Beach!  I went to college in Virginia and miss that state so much so it was really fun having a little client who is from California but might one day grow up to love Virginia like I do.  Here are a few of my favorite images from Josiah’s newborn photo shoot:
