So much joy! {Butte county family photographer}

Where do I start with this session?!  As a photographer, I am always trying to improve my craft, taking online classes and learning about all the aspects of family and baby photography.  One of the biggest keywords in classes offered for family photographers is “joy”.  Every photographer wants to find that love and joy and capture it in a family session.  These guys make that so easy!  They are inspirational when it comes to finding happiness and joy in every situation.  Recently, they lost their home and their parent’s home the camp fire but they didn’t let it stop them for a minute.  They built a beautiful new home with their parents and got right back to finding love and joy in what they still have together.  People magazine recently wrote a beautiful article about their parenting and how they don’t let their son’s Down Syndrome define how they raise him.  J.J. is the luckiest little guy to have two parents who are his biggest advocate.  I loved hearing how well he is doing in his new school.  he is reading, making friends, singing songs and loving life.  He gave me so many hugs and it was sad to see them go. This time, they were no longer driving up the hill to Magalia after our session.  However, I have to take a play from their book and focus on the positive, which is that they drove all they way to Chico to have their pictures taken by me and I got to spend a little time with them and experience their joy.  Here are a few of my favorite images from their family session:
