This family photography shoot was the second one I got to do on this ranch in the North of Chico. Last year, I got to meet the Brownfield’s cousin, Dominic and take pictures of him and his family on this beautiful ranch, and I got to return this year to a different part of the ranch to take pictures of these two cuties, their mom and dad and baby brother or sister on the way! We met at a big iron gate to enter the ranch and I was so happy to see beautiful big trees that I knew would filter the light perfectly. We had a few clouds, but the sun came through a few times and this gorgeous ranch made the perfect backdrop to our photos. Lydia and Jackson were so sweet together and they had fun picking wild flowers and playing ring around the rosie. They were happy to wear their “Little t-shirts”, showing off that even though they are both still small, they will soon be big to their new baby brother or sister! I brought a few props for sitting (which always helps keeping little ones still for a few seconds) but I wanted to keep these pictures simple and focus on family connections in a beautiful setting.
