Wind and mood {Chico family pictures}

One of the things I love about Fall family sessions is it gives me a chance to catch up with clients that I haven’t seen in a while.  I first met this family for their Fall family session four years ago.  It doesn’t seem like very long ago, but their family has grown since then.  Elizabeth is in school now and they have added another member to their family.  Baby Katelyn fits right in and if I saw her for the first time in a line up of fifty babies, I think I would easily be able to match her with this family.  She looks just like her big sister with her sweet little features and blonde hair.  You can tell these four belong together and they make the perfect family portrait.  

We met in Upper Park and there was some unexpected wind that picked up right before their session started.  I love the movement and mood that wind can create in a picture.  In the first image, there was a gust of wind and I love how it gives the feel that they are holding on to each other while everything swirls around them.  The second picture is a lighter breeze and gives more of a Beyonce feel to it and the last one has no wind but is classic.  Which is your favorite?
