Little Leif on the way {Chico maternity pictures}

 I love maternity sessions.  Most couples haven’t had their pictures taken since their wedding and this is such a special time with the anticipation of a sweet little baby.  Also, maternity sessions are less about Pinterest poses and props and more about capturing genuine emotion, which is pretty easy with the excitement of a newborn baby on the way.  This couple is expecting their first baby, a little boy in a few weeks.  Emily was beautiful in her dress from Pinkblush.  The burgundy contrasted with the greens and yellows in upper park perfectly.  She also brought a little flower crown and we took some shots with that at the end of their session. The wind was a little stronger than usual, but we didn’t let that get in our way.  Fortunately, it was random gusts that worked in our favor in a couple shots (I adore hair blowing in the wind!), and in some shots we just waited for it to pass.  I can’t wait to meet their little guy, Lief for their newborn session.  I’m sure he is going to be just as lovely as his parents.  Here are a few of my favorite images from their maternity session:
