About me

Thanks for visiting my site! I am a photographer in Chico, California. I specialize in newborns and maternity but love to capture baby milestones and do family sessions as my little clients grow. I grew up in Chico, but I went to college in Virginia at James Madison University. Although I loved the East coast, I missed the California sunshine and knew that I would one day come home to Chico. I am now married with two beautiful children and am raising them in the town where I grew up.

Aside from photography, I have a passion for travel and language. I was a foreign exchange student to Spain when I was in high school and I have been traveling and studying Spanish ever since. I used to be a language teacher and I love how language can bring you closer to new people and cultures. I think I love photography because it gives me another way to communicate with others.

My passion for taking pictures began when I was very young. When my older siblings would visit, I would take rolls of film of their kids. I remember the excitement of getting my pictures developed and I still feel the same way when I upload a client session to my computer!

I love natural, joyful pictures and beautiful light. It is my goal to make you feel happy and comfortable during your session, so I can capture your family as they are today in the most beautiful way possible.
