As a photographer in Chico, I am always looking for new places to take pictures with great color and light. I noticed the new murals that were painted on the Lulu’s building and have been wanting to shoot there for a while. When Ashley contacted me about doing a sibling photo session with an urban street theme for her kiddos, she already had a location in mind and it was the Lulu’s wall! I was so excited to finally get to take pictures there. Little Carter showed up all ready to pose with his hands in his pockets like a little cool guy. His mom brought a skateboard, which made an adorable prop. Her daughter Candice has been learning how to skateboard and it was so fun incorporating this in their shoot. We wanted to have great light for our pictures and it is getting bright so early these summer days so we met at 7:00 at the mural. This gave us plenty of time in the shade to take some adorable shots in front of the wall, and then go for a little walk and take pictures in a few other cute spots. We ended at the skate park and Candice got to show off some of her skateboarding moves. Here are a few of my favorite shots from their session:
